Commercial Dishwasher Racks

A common full-size commercial rack is approximately 20 inch x 20 inch, while half-size racks are approximately 20 inch x 10 inch. Exact dimensions can vary, so always verify the dishwasher and rack specifications before ordering.

Choose a rack based on your dishwasher dimensions, type and size of items being washed, rack capacity, and available storage space. For example, peg racks work well for plates and bowls, while compartment racks are designed to separate and protect glasses. 

Peg racks use vertical pegs to hold plates, bowls, trays, and similar items upright and separated. Open racks have a more flexible design and are useful for larger, irregularly shaped items and general-purpose washing.

Use a compartment glass rack sized to the diameter and height of your glasses. Individual compartments help separate glassware during washing, transportation, and storage, helping reduce contact, chipping, and breakage.

Many commercial racks are designed around common rack dimensions and can work across multiple compatible dishwashers. However, compatibility is not universal. Check the rack's dimensions, dishwasher model, rack track configuration, and manufacturer's specifications before purchasing.

Rack extenders add height to a compatible rack, making it possible to accommodate taller glasses, cups, bowls, and other items. They are available for various rack types and should be matched to the correct rack size and configuration. 

Commercial racks are commonly manufactured from durable plastics such as polypropylene or other chemical- and heat-resistant materials. These materials are designed to withstand repeated exposure to commercial dishwashing detergents, hot water, and frequent handling. 

Replace a rack when it becomes cracked, warped, damaged, or no longer securely supports the items being washed. Damaged racks can increase breakage and interfere with proper washing. Keeping replacement racks available can also help maintain an efficient dishwashing workflow
