Blue Air BSF72-HC 72 Cu. Ft. Commercial Reach-In Freezer with 3 Solid Doors
The Blue Air BSF72-HC is a 72 cu. ft. commercial bottom-mount reach-in freezer built for large-volume frozen storage in restaurants, commercial kitchens, hotels, catering operations, bakeries, grocery facilities, and institutional foodservice. Its 81 inch wide cabinet provides three storage sections with twelve adjustable epoxy-coated wire shelves, giving each compartment four shelves for organized frozen inventory.
The freezer features a stainless steel interior and exterior with galvanized steel on the back and bottom. Cyclopentane insulation is used in the cabinet construction, while six 4 inch swivel casters, including two with front brakes on this three-door model, support installation and movement. The cabinet is also designed to accept full-size roll-in racks for 18 inch L × 26 inch D bun sheet pans, providing additional flexibility for commercial food production and storage.
A bottom-mounted, self-contained refrigeration system uses R-290 refrigerant and a 1 HP compressor. The front sliding condensing unit allows service access without moving the freezer. Blue Air also specifies an electrodeposition-coated evaporator to maintain heat-transfer performance and reduce potential corrosion, along with a rear-wall air guard for proper air circulation and cooling.
The BSF72-HC is designed for frozen storage with a manufacturer-specified temperature range of -10°F to 5°F. Its hot-gas frame heating system helps reduce condensation around the cabinet frame. LED interior lighting provides visibility inside the storage compartments.
Three solid doors include self-closing operation at 90° or less and an automatic hold-open feature at 110°. Replaceable door gaskets, heavy-duty all-metal door handles, pressure-relief construction, and standard door locks support regular commercial foodservice use.
For temperature monitoring, the unit uses a self-diagnostic digital temperature control and monitoring system with a digital display. Manual defrost controls are included for maintenance. The manufacturer specifies 115V/60Hz/1-phase electrical operation, 9.9 amps, and a NEMA 5-15 connection. The BSF72-HC is ETL listed and ENERGY STAR certified.
